Messy Mansion Stamping plates.

*Press Sample (lead lighting and bridal plates)

Hi there everyone! Today I will be sharing with you several Messy Mansion stamping plates.
Messy Mansion sell many different types of plates. The basic type of plate Messy Mansion is the circle one. There are over 44 designs, with lots of different themes. Here are 4 of them to show you what they look like.

Here Is a manicure I have done using MM05 plate.

Next up are the Lead light Lacquer plates. These are designed for the Lead Light technique. I will be doing a whole post and video on how to do this, but for now I will show you the plates and how they stamp. The Lead Light Lacquer plates I found, due to their bold lines stamped amazing. I used the Creative Stamper to stamp all the images so you could get a good idea of how they looked.
Here are the plates. and how they stamp with black stamping polish on white cardstock.

Each plate has a great variety of  patterns and if you have longer nails a plate like the Lead Light Lacquer ones are a great option as you can get a consistent pattern on your nails.

Here is a Manicure done with the Lead Light Lacquer Plate A05.

Next  up is the Bridal Plates. Theses are delicate patterns that are beautiful for that special moment in your life where you want a subtle but glorious manicure. Bridal is totally the right word for theses pretty plates.

As you can see they stamp beautifully. Here is a subtle Manicure I created using Bridal Plate 02.

Saying that, if you tone it up you can get some great bright manis too!!!!

All of these plates are available over at Messy Mansion prices vary from $9.00.
Make sure you stay tuned as I will be using the Lead Light plates for the Lead Lighting Technique this month.

Until next time..........

Messy Mansion Basic Accessory Kit Review

*Press Sample

Hi there everyone! Today I have to share with you the new Messy Mansion Basic Accessory Kit.
This kit was recently released to help stampers. The kit includes 2 Scrapers, a primer block and 1 metal template.

I will be using the kit plus a Lead Lighting plate from Messy Mansion as well as Stamping polish from Celestial Cosmetics and Loki's Nail Aprons

The Kit retails for AUD$6.31 at the moment (prices do vary depending on the exchange rate).

The primer that comes with the set is great for making sure you get a good crisp image when stamping. I will be doing a video of that in the next few days and showing exactly how I prime my stampers.

The scrapers are a great alternative to the regular store card or old gift card most of us use. What I do like about them is that there are 2, and they are clear. Because they are clear you can see what you are scraping!
Lastly is the template. I like that it is metal, so it is not at all flimsy. There is no way you are going to break it! I also like the fact that with this template you can do many different techniques to get the stamped image on to your nails.

I have created a video showing how to use the template and what you can do with it!!!

Please excuse the blurriness of the video. God knows what I did but for some bizarre reason it did not seem to be as clear as the last one.

After all the different ways to use the template, I re did my nails with each technique to share for you.

You can get some great effects with the template. I think my favourite is that I can now get smaller images on my stamper without getting other parts of the stamping plate as well!!!

If you liked the video why now subscribe!!!

You can pick up the Basic accessory kit from Messy Mansion for $6.31 and the Lead Lighting Stamping Plate for $12.81. the Messy Mansion MM43 plate retails at $8.97

The Celestial Cosmetics Stamping Polish is available in minis ($6.50) and full size($8.50) each.

Loki's Nail Aprons are available for sets of 12 for $5.00(small) and $5.50 (large)

Until next time.....

Nail art with OPI sheer tints

Hi there everyone! Today I thought I would share with you some nail art I created with the OPI Sheer tints that I swatched HERE.
When I swatched the sheer tints I did think they leaned more toward nail art than just plain colours on the nail. So I did a couple of designs to see how they translated onto the nail in nail art.

first up I decided to give watermarbling a go. first up...I am crap at this technique. Every time I try it the polish becomes this globby grey mess. no matter what colours I use. But I have been practicing, and after only 3 goes I managed to get a water marble that I was happy with....kind off...... The sheer tints gave my nails a soft effect but for me it was to subtle. I like bright colours. saying that, my 3 yr old Poppy pointed out my nails looked like her unicorn!!! which to be fair the colours do a bit!
Here is my mani. I used all 4 sheer tints and for my base coat I used Sensationail lily white gel polish. It is the best white gel on the market that I have found!!!!

sun
Not too bad right??!! Arrr....look at my long nails....... I took this pic last week before I broke 3 and had to nub them all.... :'( *cries*.

Next up I decided to try the stain glass window technique that Messy Mansion has shared with us all. It is when you stamp in black then colour in with jelly type polishes. Messy Mansion sell a bunch of jelly colours but as I have the OPI Sheer tints, I figured I would use them. I used all 4 colours again and stamped with Ulta3 Black Satin, my go to black for stamping. I used Messy mansion plate MM20 which I got from Here. with the OPI sheer tints I painted inside the stamped image (I stamped over my white gels again) with a 000 paint brush.

You have to excuse the smudged stamping. I picked up the wrong TC and it smudged my stamping.

I am still going to have more goes as trying to create different techniques with these OPI sheer tints and I think they have a lot of potential.

Until next time........

Aussie nails week- red back spider mani.

Hi there everyone,
So today is a mani which is cute but a bit creepy especially if you do not like spiders......
Red backs are a spider here in oz, they are kind of like the black widow or america but they have a big ass red stripe on their butts. Their bite can kill a child, but would make a adult very sick.

http://www.deadlyaustralians.com/da_redback.htm
They are little buggers which make their webs everywhere and seem to like getting where they are not suppose too! ive seen on many occasion one under a chair I need to sit on etc. And we are always finding them in our garden.

So I created some nail art with several stamping plates and Ulta3 polish and a little glitter.

I painted my nails with Ulta3 Allure then stamps with mash plate 53 to create the woodgrain effect with Ulta3 Chinchily, then with mash plate 38 and Messy mansion plate MM11 i stamped the spiders in Ulta3 lily black, then popped the red on them with Ulta3 sizzling red striper polish. Lastly I added a little bit of gliter to the wet red polish and popped a top coat on.

Creepy but cute!!!
You can purchase Ulta 3 at your local chemist, and online at The Heat Group. My stamp plates i got from MASH nails and the MM11 plate from Messy Mansion.

Do not forget to check out everyone elses awesome nails for this week below....

Until next time......
