Hi there everyone, Today I have to share with you some gel polish swatches by Sensationail gel polish.
Firstly I have to say that their colour range is quite good for a brand that is available in chemists and places like Woolworth. The formula on all the gels was great.It was not too thick and most of the colours only took 2 coats for opacity. The actual gel starter kit comes with a lovely pinky red colour and the lamp and accessories were also exactly what you need to start off your gel polish journey.
Ok so lets get started!!!
First up the starter kit. This came in a cute box with a LED lamp, a base coat,top coat,primer,cleanser,lint free wipes,buffer,orange stick and a standard colour gel polish. the particular kit I received had Raspberry Wine as the colour.
Now first up...the primer in this kit is amazing! If you are like me and have issues with gel polish staying on your nails due to oily nail beds or what ever, this primer is for you. I usually get maybe 3-4 days wear of gel polish because of my oily nail beds, but with the primer that came in this kit I managed to get my gels to last for 9 days without the slightest sign of them falling off. So for people who have great nails this I think would increase the longevity of your polish even further.The primer is kind of sticky when it dry's on your nails so maybe that helps the adhesion? i'm not sure, but what I do know is my gels are lasting a LOT longer!!! Apart from that the kit is pretty much the same as most of the other Gel at home kits on the market with the same basic items. Like I said tho a good little kit to start you off.
The way to apply the gels is clearly written in the instructions and on the box. It goes through with you step by step on how to use the products provided in the kit. Please make sure you read these well. Many people ask me why their gel nails do not stay on and most of the time the instructions have not been read correctly and one small step can change the length of time a gel main will stay on your nails.
So the colour in the kit? Raspberry Wine is only a mini bottle. it is a lovely colour tho and only took 2 coats for opacity.If you do like the colour you can purchase it full size which is great. all swatched today that i will share with you I have used the above kit and swatched as per the instructions on the box.

I also received 4 gel colours to try as well. They are Cool breeze, Daisy pink, Lily white and Rose gold glitter.
Cool Breeze- Is a pretty blue grey creme gel polish. I used 3 coats to get opacity with this colour and I was very impressed with the result. It is not a colour I have usually seen with gels so I am happy to have this in my collection. I can see a lot of nail art with this colour happening!

Daisy Pink- Was not what I expected. From the colour on the box I thought it would be your usual dark pink creme, but in reality it was a very unusual pink creme. It is hard to describe but I really liked it. I compared to all my pinks in my collection of gels and I do not have one the same at all. I was impressed also that it was only 2 coats for opacity.

Lily White- OMG!!!!! IVE FOUND THE ONE!!!!!! calm down Tara......... so I am very excited by this polish. My hunt for the perfect white gel has finally come to an end. This white gel is exactly what i have been looking for. 2 coats of lily white for a perfect bright white gel. I LOVE IT!!!!!!! you can almost get away with one coat if you apply it a little thicker but I like to do my coats super thin so thats why I have used 2 coats. For ages now I have been searching for a great white gel to use for undies with nail art etc and this gel ticks all the boxes. see for your self. I just with that it came in a bigger bottle......

Rose gold glitter- Is a pinky rose coloured glitter in a clear gel base. You can get this pretty to opacity but it takes 3 coats. For a glitter topper on top of another gel this would be quite pretty or even as a gradient. I love the gel glitter toppers as there is not as many around as I would like so this was a pretty surprise.

All of these colours were great in formula and opacity. They are all 7ml bottles and they retail for $19.99 so are not the cheapest on the market but you get what you pay for and the quality with these were great. The starter kit retails for $89.99. You can pick them up directly from Sensationail or you can also purchase them from Priceline I have even seen them for sale in Woolworth as well.
Out of all the colours tho I strongly recommend you grab a bottle of Lily White. It is by far the best white gel I have found on the market. and is great for base/undies.
