Hi there everyone!!!!
Today I have swatches for the 2 OPI VIP kits that
MYER and
DAVID JONES are selling this christmas.
There are 2 VIP kits available.
The 2 Tone Manicure VIP set and the Red over heels VIP set. We have one of these sets up for grabs in the
Lokis Lacquer Epic Xmas giveaway so make sure you enter.
Lets check out the 2 tone manure set first. I actually own all of these colours already. OPI alpine snow is one of my go to white polishes. the other 2 colours Step right up! and Passion are great basic pastel shades when creating french manicures or you just want a neutral colour on your nails.
OPI Alpine snow- Is your basic white polish. Its a go to when you need a background, another colour to pop...like say OPI neons.... or you need a good opaque white for nail art. 2 coats were needed for swatches.

Step right up!- is a very pale pink polish. it is opaque in 3 coats, but awesome for french manicures and if you want a subtle colour on your nails for work.

Passion- Is a slightly darker shade than Step right up! There is also a difference in the formula. Passion is more of a jelly than a creme so with 3 coats you can still see a visible nail line. Tho this polish is again great for french manis and also if you were looking to create a jelly sandwich and layer glitter over a polish and then pop another coat of this colour.

Next up we have the Red over heels collection. I love OPI reds. Personally I am not a red polish person, but there is something about an OPI red that suckers me in every time and I have to wear it!
Cajun Shrimp- Is a orangy red creme which is opaque in almost 1 coat. I used 2 thin coats in these swatches but you can totally get away with one thicker coat if your after a quick mani. I love the slight pink/orange hue to this polish and it reminds me of lobsters!!!

Big red apple- Is your classic red. When I popped it on my nail I really thought that I already owned this colour under a different OPI name. But after getting out my plethora of OPI reds. I realised that I was wrong and it is slightly different to all the other ones I owned. And for a bonus It is only one coat. which is great again for a quick mani!!! If you do not own an OPI red you need this in your collection. you do!!!!!

Malaga wine- is a deep vampy red creme. I needed 2 coats for opacity. This is a good contrast to the other 2 similar reds in this collection. A great colour for an evening manicure. The formula is awesome. and dried fast as does most OPI polish.

I loved how the 3 colours complemented each other so i did a basic gradient with them to show how well they flowed together.
It really creates a subtle look on your nails!
Both of these sets are available from
MYER and
DAVID JONES and retails for $39.95 a set.
Until next time.......
