Hi there everyone! today the theme is pastels. and my prompt?? Well it was fluid lines. I was not sure and ppl said that meant curved and wavy lines...so I found a wavy stamping plate and decided to grab my rimmel polishes and paint my nails different coloured pastels. Then with my Original Clear jelly stamper (You can purchase HERE) ....don't let the copies fool you. I swear by mine! I stamped my wavy lines.
It actually turned out not bad and looks a little like easter eggs!!!!!

Today the theme is Fashion. I am the last person to do fashion.......Im more geeky than fashionable....im still wearing stuff i had 10 years ago!!!!
So I went to the interweb and googled fashion and a black and white outfit caught my eye.
Basic...yes but thats the kind of thing id do wear baggy black pants under everything!!!
I used Pretty Serious Cosmetics absence and presence for this mani. and I painted everything freehand! yup! not striping tape for this girl!!!!
While I was doing my nails my little one pops wanted her nails done too and she asked for zebra. Well its almost impossible to do zebra on such tine nails that wont keep still so I did my best!
She was very happy with them!!!

Hi there everyone! today theme is red. and my prompt was fishbraid. So I decided to use 3 red polishes all different finishes. I chose Emily de Molly Seeing Red (holographic), OPI Over and Over a Gwen (creme) and OPI Magazine Cover Mouse (textured)
I did the basic fish braid and top coated with OPI Infinite Shine.
It was hard to see in the photos but IRL it actually looked really cool!!!

Todays theme is love. Valentines Day is tomorrow so the theme is perfect!
I did not know what I wanted to really do this week but I did want to have a go at that needle drag water marble so I figured why not for this challenge!
I took Pretty Serious Cosmetics Ichi Hanami as my base coat and then used presence with a dotting tool to drag the white through the pink. The end result is not the best but for my first attempt I am heaps happy!

Hi there everyone!!!! So today I have last Fridays challenge. Don't even ask me about the previous week. I just gave up on even trying to get anything done on my nails. My kids went back to school and Pops my little one started kindy. Its kind of scary really. I now have a little 5 yr old in kindergarten and a teenager in year 9. It never really seemed such a big age gap until a parent asked me if this was my first one at school and I said "oh no I have one in year 9 " and the parent just looked at me in shock!! Makes me feel sooooo old.
Ok so this weeks challenge was Aqua and the prompt was fan brush. So I grabbed my trusty go to bottle of aqua which is Color club Age of Aquarius and used Pretty Serious Cosmetics Presence and Absence with the fan brush. It kind of gave a real grunge look on my nails.
Hopefully now with the 2 kids back at school I will be able keep up with my weekly posts.

Hi there Everyone!!! Todays challenge is 3 Shades of Purple and the prompt is 3D embellishment.
No im not one really for a lot of 3D anything on my nails. I tend to know them off within minutes of applying and glueing on studs bows and anything else more than about 2 mm thick.
Anyways, So I decided to grab some Pretty Serious Cosmetics purple( cosmic comet) and stamp with my new bundle monster plate. and to be honest it kind of turned out pretty meh. So I stuck some 3D bows on it and took some pics.
Not being happy with this I tried again. This time I used some OPI polishes to do a gradient. ( purple Palazo pants, lost my bikini in molokini, a grape affair) then stamped with a hit the bottle purple polish. and finally used a different 3D bow. I was much more happy with that finished effect!!!!
Heaps better!!!!!
Sometimes I struggle with these prompts as I did this week. but the end result is ok I think :)

So .....School holidays...... 6 weeks of a 5 yr old and a 14 yr old constantly fighting and shouting at each other........ man.....Im looking forward to the 2nd Feb!
It has been super hard to get any kind of nail art done let alone blog it! I sat for one day over xmas and swatched 7 collections and i have yet had the time to sit and edit and post them :( I only managed to get this done because I sat the 5 yr old in front of the netflix box!
So the theme was things that fly. Well in my house many thing almost fly...usually across the room when the kids are doing my head in! but in all seriousness the main thing that fly are birds. So i decided to do a quick many with some foils from the Born Pretty Store they were super cute and worked perfectly with the theme.
I used Celestial Cosmetics Goblin Orchid on my nails (2 coats) then popped a thin coat of nail foil adhesive on my nails for the foil to stick on. I pressed on the foil once the glue was dry and had holo feathers!!!!!

Hi there Everyone! So i missed the other weeks challenge :( sorry people but man it was the holidays and trying to get stuff done with kids running wild nails was the last thing on my mind. so my poor little blog has suffered but im hoping to get back on track now its January.
So this week was use a blue base. and my prompt was dotting tools. So I grabbed a couple of bottles of Faby nail polish and whacked on a pale blue base. I used Faby Don't disturb my puppy.
Then with the dotting tool and Faby fleur de lis, Color club yum gum and Color club almost famous did a circle design on my nails.
The results were quite pleasing and the Color club I used (yum gum) was scented too so my nails smelt awesome!!!

Hi there everyone! Today's entry is a little late. The weather here has been crazy.It has been over 34 o C most days and we are to hit 40oC by Monday so as fast as I polish my nails they dry, then I cannot turn the PC on as it just overheats :(. I'm currently sitting here with a fan aimed to my PC just so I can get this post done.
So for xmas I wanted to do some thing quick and easy. something that will not dry too quickly and go a blagh!
I decided to do a christmas french tip on my nails.
I used Pretty Serious Cosmetics Presence, then Stud muffin for the red stripes and acrylic paints and gems for the holly. I topped it off with crystal top coat.
the second pic I used my TARDIS gingerbread house as my mani prop. If you follow me on @lokislacquer on Instagram you can see all my step by step progress of making it.

Hi there everyone! Today was a bit of a quicky for the nail art. This week has been chaos what with concerts at high school for my oldest and then parties for my youngest at preschool and then add swimming and transition to school...man we have hardly had time to breath!!!!!!
So I did a cheeky mani of a blue to white gradient then stamped snowflakes which is super wintery...tho its not what we get here in OZ. We have been having 36 oC days this week so no snow here!!!!!!
For my mani I used Pretty Serious Cosmetics Presence, Grannie Panties, and Type 40 to do the gradient. then I stamped with a Joss Silver stamping polish and used a Born Pretty Plate.I topped it all off with China Glaze fairy dust.

Today's theme was glitter toppers and flakies. Me personally...I love glitters and flakies but I rarely wear them as they are a PITA to remove.
I decided I would bite the bullet and make an effort with them LOL!!
My prompt for today was dots, so I grabbed my dotting tool, Pretty serious persence, and my bottle of Lynnderella Ruby Red Ruby. Which i might say is an amazing red glitter topper if you are looking for one!
Rather than paint my nails I used a sponge to apply the glitter to make an almost metallic foiled finish. then I popped some dots on in a circular pattern.
The finished result I love and reminds me a little of xmas so im happy!

So this week is comics and cartoons. My first instinct was to do Loki again. I love Loki and Journey into Mystery was an awesome comic. But I decided to do another favourite comic of mine instead.........DEADPOOL!!!!
Deadpool has been round for ages and next year they are finally releasing a DEADPOOL movie!!!!!! I am very excited!!!!!

So to do my Deadpool nails I decided to paint a few pics and use some foil. I used Pretty Serious Cosmetics absence and presence along with OPI Over and Over a Gwen for the red.
I loved how the nails turned out!
Deadpool is a cheeky bugger. I took him to use a a mani prop for my nails but he managed to get out of pop vinyl box and cause all sorts of havoc in my garden!!!!
Once out of the box he started stalking Loki...........
He decided hiding in the trees waiting for him.......
Then he found Loki and started harassing him.....man Deadpool is a naughty fella!!!!!!
Loki was not impressed!!!!!
Finally Poppy caught Deadpool and had a good fight with him!!!!
I finally got hold of Deadpool and got him back in his box!!!!
Wow what a day with deadpool!!!!!
