Sally Hansen New Miracle Gel Swatches

Today I have 3 new Sally Hansen Miracle Gels to share with you.

Sally Hansen released last year Miracle gel polish. It is a 2 step process where you use a coloured  miracle gel polish and a second specialised top coat which is similar to gel polish except you do not need a lamp to cure it, the regular sun will do this for you. I liked the idea of this concept but there are not a lot of colours released here in Australia. Sally Hansen did release 5 new colours last month. I have Spice Age, Game of Chromes and Hunger Flames.

All of these colours I only needed 2 coats with the specialised top coat.
 The other amazing thing with this range is the brush. The polish has a super wide brush and it makes coverage a dream! I only needed one stroke with the brush to cover my pinkie it was so wide!!!
I did a wear test with spice age and managed 7 days total before having to remove it due to chipping. The packet does say up to 14 days, but I have 2 kids and a bunch of housework to do. Even regular gel polish does not last 14 days on my nails!!!

Today I have a fantastic Collection to share with you all! It is Celestial cosmetics 2nd birthday this month and they are kicking things off with an awesome collection of polishes.

The Land of the Fae Collection is a collection of 7 polishes all as amazing as the next!!!

Formula on all of these were great and I used 2 coats for each polish with a base coat and Celestial cosmetics solar rays as a top coat.

OPI Hawaiian Collection Comparison Swatches.

Hi there everyone!

So today I have some comparison swatches from the OPI Hawaiian collection to share today.

I went through my collection of OPI's to see if there were any dupe in this new collection and although several were very similar no exact dupes.

Lets check them out.

Red Comparisons

 As you can see that Aloha from OPI is more orangy red than the other two. so no dupes here :) tho their may be dupes with the other two!!!

 Both pinks are very similar but not exactly the same pink friday is slightly darker.

 Both are really similar but in the shade you can see that where did suzis mango? is slightly darker.

Hi there everyone!!! today I have the new trio released last week by Pretty Serious Cosmetics

Pretty Serious Cosmetics are starting a new range of rare and beautiful polishes....... it will be called the Museum of Naileontology.

OK so so far there are 3 in the collection. These 3 are amazing in their own right purely for the fact they are all 2 coaters, awesome colours and to top it off are what i would call a "shout out"to old and discontinued polishes which are no more.

Fedoraharp Welcome to Tomorrowland Collection Swatches.

Hi there everyone!!! today I have a new brand called Fedoraharp They were kind enough to contact me about their new collection called Welcome to Tomorrowland as it was inspired by Futurama and As I had released a Futurama collection a few years back they wanted to make sure it was OK. Of course I said yes!! The more Futurama polishes out there the better I say!!!!

So I was sent the collection to swatch along with some others from her core range (we shall see those in a later post.) The colours in the Welcome to Tomorrowland Collection are awesome, and match well with the inspiration. I love it when a polish matches the inspiration of the name. I get really annoyed when brands just slap a name on any old polish because they know it will sell and no consideration goes into the colour choices.

Dance Legend Boo swatches

Hi there everyone! Today I have a quick post on an amazing polish. It is called Boo and is from Dance Legend The polishes this brand releases are truly amazing and I was gutted to find out that they are currently shut due to postal issues :( I really want all of their new collections and I cannot order them so its killing me :'( But today I am a little cheered up because of this beauty!

I swatched this over my black gel polish. 2 coats was perfect to see the amazing Duochrome.

 

The whole collection is simply stunning. I just love the copper colour of it.

Glittering Elements This is Silent Hill Collection Swatches and review.

Hi there everyone! Today I have some pretty polishes from Glittering Elements. These were sent to me for swatching a little while ago and I have finally been able to get them posted ,what with stamp-a-palooza last month going on etc.

The collection is called The Welcome to Silent Hill collection. I comprises of  5 polishes all with a scattered holo finish. I have 4 of these to share with you today.

Formula wise all the polishes were the same, I used 2-3 coats for each colour and seche vite as top coat. Top coat is needed for there polishes as without it the colours are not as glossy.

Celestial Cosmetics February Release Swatches.

Today I have some of  Celestial Cosmetics February Release to share with you.

Celestial Cosmetics have changed the way they release polish and so every month they will release a collection of colours along with a Limited Edition shade. The colours will pop into their website at the beginning of each month.

OK so What do I have for you today...Let's check them out!!!

Zodiac Light- Is a browny red holographic polish, shifting to a maroony red and silvery grey, you can also see slight hues of purple depending on the light. The formula was great! only 2 coats for opacity. I took heaps of shots of this one cause I wanted to try and get all the different colours this beauty has to offer!!!!

Sea of Tranquillity- Is a bright but leaning on to pastel blue holographic polish. I do not have anything quite like this in my collection. It is a really delicate colour. I managed to get the swatches as close to the bottle colour as I could as my camera seemed to not want to be friends with this pretty!! I have seen other swatches of sea of Tranquillity and they have not been that accurate, so believe me when I say that these swatches are pretty damn close :) I love that there is a linear holo in such a pastel shade. i'm impressed nicki really I am!!! I only needed 2 coats for full coverage.

Heart of Asta- Is a bright pink creme. If you are after a bright in your face pink, well this one is for you. similar to the barbie pink that Celestial Cosmetics released a few years back this bright pink really shouts girly girl!!! I had to use 3 coats to get complete coverage with this one. I would have rather 2 coats but I found that I could still see a little VNL with 2.

Joss Nail Polish Bold Collection

Hi there everyone!!! Today I have the new Bold colour collection by Joss Polish. Joss is an Aussie brand which is available at the Nail Super Store. The polish is very reasonably priced at AUD$6.95 for a 15ml bottle. I was lucky enough to swatch these pretties for the store, and they are super amazing! All of the colours are either 2 coats or almost 1 coats depending on how thick you pop your polish on. For all of these swatches I used a top coat of Seche Vite.

The formula was amazing on all of these colours with no issues at all.

Picture Polish Illusionist swatches

Hi there everyone! I have not been posting these past few weeks , and I am sorry my readers, but I promise there will be more and more great things to come soon. 

Next month is my 40th birthday so I will be organizing a giveaway for that ! plus I have some exciting things in the works, which I will share soon.

Anyways, ATM my nails are in a real poor condition. My nails have never been the strongest and I was informed that IBX system would work wonders, so I forked out the $55 for the repair and IBX. I applied it as the instructions stated but within a day or so my nails had become brittle and all split and broke. *cries* So I have been sporting nubs. Bare with me and my swatches as my nails grow. But for today I am using swatches I did a little while ago when my nails were long and purtty!!!

Ok so Picture Polish Illusionist. This was a limited edition polish they released a few months back. it is a multichrome that shifts from purple/blue/teal/navy and has holo glitter/flake in it.

The polish is stunning but the formula is very thin, so you will need layer it over black polish/gel. I used 2 coats over a black gel. What i loved about layering over the gel was I seemed to be able to get a much better shift as you will see in the pics. 

OPI Gwen Stefani collection swatches and review

Hi there everyone!

Today I have 4 of the polishes from the OPI Gwen Stefani collection to share with you.

Here is a quick look at the collection.

I have love music angel baby, 4 in the morning, push and shove and over and over a gwen to show you today.

*I purchased all of these polishes from Pro Nail in Bankstown. 

First up is The signature polish.

Over and over a Gwen-  This is a lovely bright red creme. The pigmentation on this polish was awesome it was not too thin and honestly I could have almost got away with only one coat, but did 2 coats. The polish also comes in a fancy "signature" box along with some swarovski gems and studs in a little pack and a tiny tube of nail glue. You will also find a little booklet with ideas on how to use the gems. I used a base coat along with Seche Vite as my top coat.

I used the gems along with push and shove for the dots and 4 in the morning for the french tip. the glitter is Lynnderella connect the dots.

Push and Shove- This is the silver chrome polish everyone was talking about. Now the polish is suppose to come with a mini bottle of base coat especially for the chrome polish, but when I purchased mine it did not come with one. I'm not sure if this is the case everywhere, who knows? but the special base coat is not a necessity, I found several other types of base coat worked just as well.

I tried my Jessica Aqua base I have for holographic polish, a standard Essie base coat, a Top coat as my base coat and Picture Polishes Revolution as well.  Out of all of them I found Picture Polish revolution was the best by far, then the aqua base coat, the only one that did not work was the top coat as a base coat. I knew it would not really work but figured i'd give it a go anyways!

So this swatch is 1 coat of Picture Polish revolution then 3 coats of OPI push and Shove. The first pic is with a top coat and the second with out a top coat.

Honestly there was not much difference. I took the pics in the shade as in the sun it was way to shiny! blow your eyes shiny!. I really did not think I would like this polish as I have a Kiko silver chrome that I love, but apart from the fact i need to use a different base, I love this polish! and it was great for nail art too.

Love, Angel, Music, Baby- Is one of the satin polishes released. It is a pale gold satin which when I look at it very much like OPI honey ryder just without the texture and extra glitter. the colour is very similar. It is stunning. I wore this polish with out a top coat for 3 days and it wore really well. I used 3 coats for this swatch but could have gotten away with 2 coats really.

4 In the Morning- This is the other satin polish in the collection. I have always wanted a black matte polish and OPI Obscurity has been on my wish list for EVER! So when I saw this matte black I had to purchase it. Now the thing is, it is not really black as such, I would say it is pretty close...but more really really really dark charcoal than black. I swatched 2 coats over OPI love,angel music,baby to create a ruffian Mani. No top coat of course.

All in all the collection is great. I love every colour I purchased, and when I have the spare cash I think I will get the remainder of the collection. I have my eye on that pink!!
