Fuse Gelnamel swatches- gone fission, lights camera re-action and polar bare.

Hi there everyone! Today I have the final 3 Fuse Gelnamels to share with you. As with all the posts I have done of Fuse Gelnamel, this system is a "all-in-one" with the base and top coats in the one bottle with the colour. I really like how this is an all in one system, so if you are new to gels it is a lot simpler to do. With all the swatches here I prepped my nails by buffing and using the cleanser provided in the kit. It is so important to make sure you prep your nails first or you will not get as good wear with the gel. Also it is important to note that you need to make sure you do not over cure the gel. this gel requires only 30 seconds to cure. no more. no less. the lamp that is provided in the kit has a 30 sec timer so make sure you use this. I will be doing a video for the fuse gel system when I get my camera sorted so you can see just how easy it is to do. Below are the colours. from left to right - Gone Fission, Lights, Camera, Reaction and Polar bare.

Gone Fission- This is a Glitter that is not all that it seems. Honestly when I saw the bottle I was expecting a creme base with glitter through it. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the polish to find A beautiful mix of glitters in pinks and silvers with a lovely shimmer in the base. This is not really a polish I would personally wear by itself but over another Gelnamel it would be awesome! I swatched Gone Fission by itself so you can see a true representation of the polish. I did 3 coats. As you can see it is super pretty! Now this gel like the other glitter gel Lighting Jolt did make my nails hot when I cured it. but over a creme gel this was not any where near as hot.

Lights, Camera, Re-action-  Is a silver foil gel polish. So first up. Do not be deceived by the colour in the bottle. When I opened it and popped it on my nails I was thinking it was a little too pink/silver for my liking. And was not really happy with the colour. Then I cured it and the colour changed! yep! changed!!! the true colour of the gel came out and became a beautiful silver. This is the best silver in my collection as far as gels go now. I simply love it!!! I used 2 coats for this swatch ,but if I had done it a little thicker I could have gotten away with one coat. I will be using this pretty many more time in the future!!!

Polar Bare- IS a very subtle pale pink with a gold shimmer to it. It is really delicate and would be great for a work appropriate mani. I did need 3 cured coats for this mani but if you wanted to you could grab another gelnamel like Na-Noway and pop 1 coats of polar bare over that to get a different effect in only 2 coats.

I have to say these Gelnamel gels are very good value for money. you do not need to worry about a base or top coat,and the led lamp is small and compact so you can take it anywhere!!! All in all I would recommend this kit to someone who has never tried gels before as a quick and inexpensive way to start out.

Tri Polish Tuesday- 20th May

Hi there everyone! Today is Tri Polish Tuesday and this months colours are Purple Red and green. I missed last week. So much going on with sick kids and my hubby running a 100km ultra marathon for charity, I totally did not get a chance to blog for a whole week!

Todays mani is using Color Club and Zoya. I used Color Club pucci-licious and twiggie and Zoya Rekha. I also use a Ulta3 black satin striper.

Aussie Nails Monday- water spotting technique.

Hi there everyone! today for Aussie nails Monday we have chosen a technique which I had not tried before. The water spotting technique. This technique involves isopropanol and water to create a marble kind of effect.
I start with a cup of water at room temp and drop in a single drop of nail polish. I'm my case I used kiko 628 which is a metallic gold. then you let it spread in the water and gently spray a little of the isopropanol on the polish/water, watch it separate then dip you nail into the water so the polish sticks on your nail. it is similar to water marbling.I will have to do a video when I get 5 mins!!!
For my mani i first painted my nails with zoya song then a top coat of clear before water spotting. my feature nail was zoya ziv and topped with femme fatale sparkling sands.

I like the technique but clean us is a nightmare!

Orly Smartgel- sheer nude swatch

Hi there everyone! Firstly..... Happy Mothers Day!!!! my beautiful girls brought me a Lush Honey Farm gift pack...which smells AMAZING!!!! I will have to review it for everyone!!!!

Ok so today I am sharing with you a sheer gel colour from Orly smart gels. Sheer Nude is perfect if you are looking to do a french manicure, or if you are looking to get the lace effect  your nails. as I think it would be a great base for both. I used 5 coats fo these swatches,just to see if I could get opacity, but in reality you could use 2-3 coats for both of he above techniques. 

I used Vivigel as my base and top coat. I also did a french tip on my index finger to show you how the colour would look as a french mani.

Sayuri Beyond the shadows collection review.

Hi there everyone!!! Today I have to share with you all the new collection from Sayuri Nail Lacquer. They have just released their new collection called Beyond the Shadows, and it consists of 9 polishes. I have 4 to share with you today.

All polishes today were put over a Essie base coat and then Seche Vite as a top coat.

Love's Lustre- Is a pale pink holographic polish.The holo is quite hard to capture as it is very subtle but it is there. The colour has a slight grey look to it but that is due to the holo pigment used to make this polish. It in no way detracts from the colour. I used 3 coat to get opacity. The first coat was a little streaky but it evened itself out with the second coat.

Luminous Illusion- is a purple shimmer polish which has a blue/green shimmer. I really liked the colour combo of this polish. I am a sucker for purple blue and green so i'm a little bias! The shimmer is lovely by itself then in different lights it captures the blue /green shimmer which gives the polish a whole new look. I found the colour change was a lot more visible when I was in the shade than the sun so I took all my shots in the shade for this reason :)

I used 3 coats for this polish tho I could have gotten away with 2.

Kaleidoscopic- Is a holographic top coat. I love how the polish is really thin. I have used other holo top coats and they are way to pigmented and therefore grey out the polish below. More holo pigment does not necessary make a better polish, and I think Sayuri has got this one right. As you will see in my swatches I layered 1 coat of kaleidoscopic over luminous illusion then on the next swatch I layered over some Ulta3 cremes. The polish gives the colours a great holo effect but not so much as to dull the polish beneath.

Moonbeam Aria- Is a grey crelly polish with black,white and iridescent blue glitter in it. I love the combo and the effect the iridescent glitter has in the polish. It was super hard to capture the blue through the polish but IRL you can see it a bunch. I had to use 4 thin coats for this one as to layer up the glitter.
