Alien Mani for halloween

Hi there Everyone!

Its that time of the year....my favourite time of the year!!!! Halloween, and i'm sad to say I don't have Halloween nails on *slaps my own wrists* Yep I'm currently sporting unicorns, but today I'm going to share a manis I did last week for the Femme Fatale horror movie challenge. Now before you say...i've seen better nail art...I had to use only Femme Fatale cosmetic products so it was quite tricky!!! So I decided to recreate the movie poster of the movie....and my daughters fav movie.....Alien.

so with the poster in mine I used Femme Fatale Cosmetics Star's Lament, sparkleshell, abuse the ooze and noxious mire.

This is what I ended up with...oh and credit to Zoe's alien pop vinyl which I used as a mani prop

Then did not turn out too bad!!!!!!!

Until next time.........

Aussie Nails Monday- halloween

Hi there everyone! how are you?
Today is the Halloween themed week and so I decided to kill 2 birds this week and combine the Femme Fatalce Cosmetics and Aussie nails monday challenges into one!!
So As it was a halloween challenge what better way than to do jack o lanterns.
I used Essie meet me at sunset as my base then I used 2 coats of Femme Fatale Cosmetics Gossamer Dust. I love this polish It is a awesome thermal polish that changes from yellow when hot to orange when cold. Then I cut some jack o lantern faces in vinyl and adhered them to my nails
I love it! and the jack o lanterns change colour which is awesome too!

OPI coca-cola collection comparison swatches.

Hi there everyone!
After finishing off the swatches for the OPI coca-cola collection there were a few colours that popped up which I and other people thought may be dupes. So I have swatched a few of them with other colours from OPI that I own to show the comparisons.

First up is OPI A grape affair. Two other OPI polishes seemed similar. OPI Vant to bite my neck and OPI Do you have this color in stockhom.
Vant to bite my neck is almost a perfect dupe, but the other is not.

Next up is OPI Get cherried away. I thought that OPI casino Royale and OPI Anti bleak would be similar. I do not own anti bleak but I did have Casino Royale. The 2 look very close, tho Get cherried away seems a little more toward the blue hue.

OPI Your so vain-illa Looked similar to both OPI my vampire is buff and OPI don't pretzel my buttons, but on comparison none of them are even close to being dupes.

OPI I accomplished zero really did remind me of a shiny version of OPI stay the night (which is a liquid sand) After swatching the 2 next to each other they are almost dupes tho  the glitter is a tad smaller in stay the night and of course it is textured.

Lastly I have OPI turn on the Haute light. I compared to OPI this gown needs a crown, havent the foggiest and push and shove. There were no dupes with these polishes.

So there you have it. a few close ones but really no dupes as such. If you have any other comparisons that you would like me to do with OPI or even another brand pop a message in the comments and ill see what I can do!!!!

Until next time.......

Sally Hansen Complete salon spring colour collection swatches

Hi there everyone!!!I have the me Sally Hansen Salon manicure collection to share with you today. The new spring colour collection is a range of 6 pretty creme polishes and one glitter polish.
I have to say I was very impressed with the colour choices for this collection. It really feels like spring and not a red polish in sight!

OK so the formula..... it varies from polish to polish but in general the formula was great. I will comment on it with each colour. For all the polishes I used Sally Hansen Big Shiny Top Coat.

Let's check them out shall we??

Almost Almond-  Is a sheer pale creme shimmer polish. The polish is almost peach in colour and has a frosted effect when worn. I used 4 coats for the swatches and I could still see a visible nail line. This polish is perfect if you just want a subtle shimmer on your nails. A very work appropriate colour.

Peach of cake- Is a beautiful peach/orange colour. The polish is very opaque and only took 2 coats for full coverage on the nail. This colour also stamped really well. I used it in another mani later on in this post.

Sheer Ecstasy- Is a really pale shade of pink. The colour is almost white. Like SH Almost almond needs many coats for opacity. I used 4 coats and I still have a VNL. once again very work appropriate.

Pink a card- Is a pale pink creme which is opaque in 3 coats. The colour also stamped quite well due to its opacity so I was very impressed considering on how pale the colour actually is.
I created some nail art over sheer ecstasy with some nail stamping and a fuzzy unicorn vinyl.

Barracuda- Is a very pale blue creme. The colour is stunning and on top of that it is very pigmented so I only needed 2 coats for full opacity. The cool colour of the polish made a perfect background for some stamping with SH water colour. such an awesome combo.

Water color- This was my favourite colour of the collection. I'm a sucker for blue at the best of times and this polish did not disappoint! The polish was almost a one coater it was so opaque! It also stamped fantastically as you have seen in the previous mani. An awesome polish all round!!!!!

Snow Globe- Is an amazing glitter mix of iridescent glitters. there is blue/green and orange/gold iridescent glitters. I found I only needed one coat of the glitter polish for a great coverage.
I also found that the glitters looks great over different polish colours.

Shade. over SH Peach of cake

Sun. over black polish

Shade. SH over black polish.

The whole collection is great.  I liked the variety of colours in the collection and the fact that 1/2 of the colours stamped with ease. Also I love the glitter polish as it is very versatile.
The new collection from Sally Hansen is available from most chemists, Priceline, and Target.
They retail for $14.95 each.

Until next time........

Celestial Cosmetics October Limited Edition swatches

Hi there everyone!!!! Today I have the Celestial Cosmetics October Limited Edition.
Every months Celestial Cosmetics release a limited edition colour for 30 days. I was lucky enough to be given October LE for review.

October LE is an amazing peachy coral holographic polish which is opaque in just 2 coats. It is not super linear holo like some of the other polishes that Celestial cosmetics have released in the past, but still the colour and the holo is great in the polish.
I popped one coat of seche vite over the top and the holo did not dull at al.

You can pick up October LE through the month of October then it will be discontinued.
Make sure you pick your up now over at Celestial Cosmetics

Celestial Cosmetics Finale swatches

Hi there everyone! today I have an amazing indie polish to share with you from Celestial Cosmetics Ok so I'm a bit of a sucker when it comes to this brand. I love pretty much everything that they release and I own most of their collection (if you want to see swatches click on the stash list tab and then click on the celestial cosmetic tab and all the links are there in blue :) )
Any way Celestial Cosmetics brought out a few polishes for halloween in their Armageddon Trio and I am yet to swatch them all yet, I have swatched this beauty to share today.
Finale is an amazing sandy/creme coloured polish with tiny micro glitters throughout which sparkle immensely in the sun. I honestly do not think there is another polish on the market quite like this colour. Ill be honest it does not scream halloween to me, but I really do not care because the colour and sparkle make up for it. I only required 2 coats for opacity and one coat of seche vite. This baby does like to drink the top coat tho so for a super shiny look maybe 2 coats of SV will be in order. I was happy with just the one.

The Armageddon Collection is available now and you can purchase the trio (with 10% off) for $24.75 or you can buy each polish individually for $9.50 each.

Halloween is coming and you all need to make sure you have all of the halloweenie polishes!!!!!

Until next time.....
