Pretty Serious Cosmetics Type 40 Swatches

*Press Sample.

Hi there everyone!
I've posted my pics most places but totally realised I'd not actually blogged this polish!!!!! *facepalm*  So today I'm sharing the Pretty Serious Cosmetics Type 40 polish. I loved that PSC released this colour, That special blue box is one of the things I remember from my childhood and as I have grown up, I have been lucky enough to share my love of Doctor Who with my daughters,

I have been to the original Doctor who museum in Llanglollen north Wales back in 1999 (my hubby family are from Llanglollen so it was one of the first places he took me!!) and When we re visited the UK in 2009 I took my daughter to the new Doctor who museum. Here are a few pics ;)

Zoe was SOOO little then!!!!!! she still loves doctor Who and watches it all the time!!!!
Shes been to comic con as the TARDIS as well as going out in her Black milk TARDIS Slouchy!!!

We even had a TARDIS Gingerbread house this year for christmas...

So lets get on with checking out Type 40!!!!

It is a amazing blue which you only need one coat. I used 2 but I did not really need it!

As you can see with this polish a slightly different light source changes the colour completely I tried so hard but could not get 2 photos the same!!! and for me that's no something that usually happens to me!!

All I can say is the polish is perfect. And I went and brought 2 more bottles after my Press Sample arrived!!!

You can still purchase from Pretty Serious Cosmetics for $9.95 a bottle

Until next time.....

Pretty Serious Cosmetics Breathless Limited Edition Swatches

Hi there everyone!!!!
Today I have the Pretty Serious Cosmetics  Limited Edition polish Breathless.
There was only 300 of these polishes made and as soon as it was released I made sure I purchased it!
Two reasons really, first cause well.... it was green! and second I had to ensure my collection of Pretty Serious Polishes was complete! I own every polish that PSC has released so I could not stop now!!!

Breathless is a bright "frog"green polish with a tiny what I would call silver type of flakes/shimmer in it. You can pretty much get away with one coat but I used 2 thinner coats.

It is truly beautiful!!!!

You can purchase the Limited Edition  at Pretty Serious Cosmetics until it sells out. The polish retails at AUD$9.95 a bottle.

Until next time.....

40 Great Nail Art Ideas- Halloween

Hi there everyone!!!!
Today is all about Halloween!!!!!

Now picking a halloween design was soo hard....so many awesome things to choose from!! but I went with the traditional graveyard scene.

I Had just received Press Samples of the NEW Pretty Serious Cosmetics Halloween shades, and I could not access my other polish (hubby was sleeping off night shift) I I did what I could with the colours I had on my desk! and I have to say I was super impressed with the Pretty Serious Cosmetics colours and how well they lent to nail art!!!!

I used Pretty Serious Cosmetics Pumpkin head (a neon orange), Baron Von Bootiful (dark grey),  Absence (black) and Presence (white)

I did a gradient first over a base of pumpkin head the gradient went black, orange, dark grey, black. then once that dried I hand painted on the graveyard scene on both hands. and finished off with a top coat. I am left handed so my right hand is a little better than my left ;)

I love how it turned out and then an added bonus..... It glowed under UV light!!!!!

Pretty Serious Absence and Presence Swatches

*Press Sample.

Hi there everyone! Today I have 2 amazing polishes for you to check out!

Pretty Serious Cosmetics have released 2 new shades. Absence and Presence. These 2 polishes claim to be opaque in one coat. That's a big claim to live up to when it comes to a black and white polish! Most whites I own are a min of 2 coats and can become streaky or gluggy when applying. So when I was given the opportunity to try

Pretty Serious Cosmetics Pet Names Collection Swatches

*Press Sample

Hi there everyone! today I have the latest creme or "undie"collection from Pretty Serious Cosmetics .
Over the past year Pretty Serious Cosmetics has released a bunch of cremes that are made to e used as a base for other polishes or just a beautiful creme polish by itself. This collection is an addition to the "undies"collection and is called The Pet Names Collection.
It consists of 6 highly opaque and pigmented cremes. All of the cremes were just 2 thin coats in my swatches, tho I could have got away with one thick coat in some cases. but I like to do thin coats. Id like to add that all my swatches in this collection had no base or top coat used. THese were purely by them selves. I love that even with the polish by itself they colours were super shiny and dried really quickly. The only time I used PSC crystal top coat was when I did the nail art on a few of the swatches.

Ok so lets check them out!!!!

From Left to right- Stud Muffin, Sugar Cakes, Honey Puff, Pookie, Cuddle Bunny and Snuglebutt.

Indie Polish Brands That I know and Trust Part 1

Hi there everyone!!!!  Well...what a huge week it has been!!!! What with all the goings on in the nail polish community I thought rather than focus on the negatives I would focus on the positives!!  I'm not going to address any of the goings on. If you need to know please just google Mentality Nail polish and i'm sure after reading stuff for a few hours you will get the drift!

Anyways I would love to share with everyone my favourite indie brands.
I think some people may have lost a little confidence in indies over the past few weeks, but I'm here to say FEAR NOT!!!! there are a plethora of amazing indie brands out there with awesome customer service and a high quality product!!!!

So lets get started!!!!
My number one favourite indie brand would have to be.......CELESTIAL COSMETICS
I have been purchasing Celestials polishes since they started out a few years back. I love everyone I own...and I own over 150 of them so that says a lot I think!!! and not two of them are alike!!!
Nicki the owner has amazing customer service and all my orders are prompt and wrapped well. If there is an issues of any kind she is quick to respond and fix it. Her holographic polishes are to die for and I think thats why I love them so much!!!

My next Favourite brand would have to be PRETTY SERIOUS COSMETICS I actually own every polish pretty serious have released so far a total of 103 (not including the new collection that just got released)
From the moment that I saw them I was in love. I cant get enough of the perfect coverage every time and the amazing cremes they produce. I love Kaz and her quirky take of everything. she is a gal after my own heart! so every time she releases a collection i am excited to see what its been named!! My parcels are always delivered quickly and there is always a personal thanks hand written, I do love that purple tissue paper when I open that box of polish!!!!

Next on the list of brands I love is LYNNDERELLA Its funny cause a little over 18 months ago I owned very few of this brand. I was not the fan I am today, but now I own over 100 Lynnderellas and I personally love the amazing coverage her glitters give. I always get fantastic service from Paul and Lynderella and whenever I ask a question they are always quick to reply. My parcels come well packed and quickly.
Its not a brand you hear a lot about these days on the nail forums but as one of the founding boutique indie brands their product has not wavered.

My next brand would have to be EMILY DE MOLLY I have over the years purchased a bunch of hayleys brand and now also I pretty much own all of her stamping plates too!!! Every time I get an order with Emily de Molly I find that the polish is excellent and rarely needs more than 2 coats. They are always packed well and sent quickly.
The holographics are amazing and recently her duochrome flakie collection was just stunning!

Lastly for part one, I cannot go past FEMME FATALE COSMETICS
This brand has been around for a few years now and Sophie is lovely. When every a collection is getting released there is ample reminders of its time and place and even when there is an issue with the website she is over apologetic about it. Over the years I have purchased over 150 of femme fatale polishes and they have always been amazing quality. She always has a great range to offer along with her cosmetic side of eyeshadows and blushes too.

So there you have it!! 5 of the most trusted indies I purchase from I think in total for these five brands I would have over 700 polishes! I love every polish and I've never had an issue! I have pretty much worn everyone at least to swatch. And all of these brands have excellent customer service and use the highest quality ingredients.

Keep an eye out as I will be posting more indies I trust over the next few posts!!!!

Make sure you support our indies and not all brands are tarred with the same brush and so many great and trusting brands are out there.

until next time........
