40 Great Nail Art Ideas- Halloween

Hi there everyone!!!!
Today is all about Halloween!!!!!

Now picking a halloween design was soo hard....so many awesome things to choose from!! but I went with the traditional graveyard scene.

I Had just received Press Samples of the NEW Pretty Serious Cosmetics Halloween shades, and I could not access my other polish (hubby was sleeping off night shift) I I did what I could with the colours I had on my desk! and I have to say I was super impressed with the Pretty Serious Cosmetics colours and how well they lent to nail art!!!!

I used Pretty Serious Cosmetics Pumpkin head (a neon orange), Baron Von Bootiful (dark grey),  Absence (black) and Presence (white)

I did a gradient first over a base of pumpkin head the gradient went black, orange, dark grey, black. then once that dried I hand painted on the graveyard scene on both hands. and finished off with a top coat. I am left handed so my right hand is a little better than my left ;)

I love how it turned out and then an added bonus..... It glowed under UV light!!!!!

I totally want to do more halloween nails now but its almost over so maybe ill do some more tomoz!!!

Celestial Cosmetics Witchy Duo Swatches

*Press Sample.

Hi there everyone!I have the Witchy duo from Celestial Cosmetics to share with you today.

These two pretty's are to celebrate Halloween. Weave a spell and Witches Charm. Both are amazing colours. Lets check the out!!!

Witches Charm- Is an amazing blurple holographic polish. In the bottle it looks almost blue but on the nail It looks very purple. It has a slight linear holo, but not a strong linear holo. There is also what looks like really fine glitter throughout that makes the finish slightly bumpy so a top coat is advisable.

Weave a Spell- Is a bright blue jelly with multicoloursd flakies throughout. I needed to use 3 thin coats and I ensured each coat was dry before adding the next to make sure there was no pulling on the polish. The end result was lovely so well worth the effort with this polish.

Both of these polishes are available now from Celestial Cosmetics and you can purchase the duo for $22.00. Currently Celestial Cosmetics are not shipping internationally due to new Australian postal rules, but are in the process of setting up a US base.
Alternatively you can purchase from one of Celestial Cosmetics Stockists

40 Great Nail Art Ideas- Orange,Purple and Green.

Hi there everyone!
Today's challenge was Orange,Purple and green. and my prompt was chevrons.
I was going to use nail vinyls to do my chevrons but I thought maybe id give painting them myself a go.
I used Pretty Serious cosmetics absence as a base, then with Color Club Disco Dress, Feeling Groovy and Koo Koo Cachoo I hand painted the chevrons. I also decided to pop some dots on the nail design too for a bit of variety.

I need a little more practice at hand painting I think.

Make sure you check out everyone else's manis for this week below!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas- Geeks

Hi there everyone,
Today's challenge is Geeks. I was not 100% how to do this weeks challenge. should I do math stuff or should I do geeky glasses etc......
Well I decided that what would be more geeker than a bit of Doctor who!!!!
One of my fav things from Doctor Who is the Daleks and the Cult of Skaro.

The Cult consists of Dalek Jast, Dalek Thay, Dalek Caan and their leader Dalek Sec.

I decided that I would do the Daleks on my nails. I used a bunch of studs in 2 colours, and then used Zoya Penny for the copper colour and Pretty Serious Cosmetics Absence for the black. The silver was a Joss silver stamping polish and I used a nail art brush to paint it on.

I thought id better get a appropriate prop as well so I grabbed my daughters Dalek Sec.

Mean while my kitty Loki saw the Dalek prop and thought he had better check it out.....

Dalek Sec had no chance LOL!!!!!!

Make sure you check out what everyone else is doing for Geek nails this week below.

Until next time..........

OPI Venice Comparison collection swatches

*Press Sample.

Hi There everyone! Today I have some comparison swatches for you with the OPI Venice collection. I had a few people ask if there were dupes in the collection. and To be honest, a few were close but none were exact dupes. tho in the pics they may look almost the same, in real life there is a noticeable difference.

Lets check them out!!!

First up is O Suzi Mio. Thie purple in the bottle looked exactly the same as 3 other purples I owned. seriously. I swear they all look the same!!!!! but in the nail wheel you could see that O Suzi Mio was a lighter shade leaning toward more of a pink hue than blue.

Gimme a Lido Kiss I thought may have been a dupe of Friar Friar pants on fire, but not so. Gimme a Lido Kiss was quite bright red in comparison to it tho the shimmer was very similar.

Amore at the Grand Canal was the closest to a dupe I found. Cinnamon sweet was almost the same but not quite. All the reds just seem to look the same in this picture but they are all slightly different .
(please ignore the poor spelling error in the picture..... I just realised :( )

My Gondola or Yours was a funny colour. again it looked very similar as the polishes I picked but IRL it is clearly very different on the swatch stick.

Be there in Prosecco which I thought would be a dupe clearly was not eve close to My vampire is buff or You're so vanilla.

Tiramisu for two was very close to Don't bossa Nova me around but not exactly the same.

Once again OPI have managed to product very similar colours but no exact dupes. It amazes me how close sometimes the colours come but never are exact. It is impressive, but at the same time I must have them all as a OPI collector!!!!!

OPI can be purchased at Myer and David Jones here in Australia. they retail for $19.95 per bottle.

Until next time......

Pretty Serious Absence and Presence Swatches

*Press Sample.

Hi there everyone! Today I have 2 amazing polishes for you to check out!

Pretty Serious Cosmetics have released 2 new shades. Absence and Presence. These 2 polishes claim to be opaque in one coat. That's a big claim to live up to when it comes to a black and white polish! Most whites I own are a min of 2 coats and can become streaky or gluggy when applying. So when I was given the opportunity to try

Celestial cosmetics Memories Collection Swatches

*Press Sample.

Hi there everyone!!! Today I have the new Memories Collection from Celestial Cosmetics
This collection is very personal for Nicki from Celestial Cosmetics.  She has brought together 3 of her most vivid memories from first getting married and giving birth to her son and shared them in polish for for us all to wear.

Before I start I have to apologise for the swatches. I always take pride in my swatches and I make sure 99% of the time I use natural outdoor lighting for swatching. But when I swatched these pretties the bloody sun did not like me and then to top it off we had back burning for days which caused the sky to fill with smoke and there was no sun to be seen. I took as much as I could outside but the rest I used a light box. The colour is still accurate but the holoness of them is not as amazing as real sunlight would have shown.

Lets check the out >>>>>>

40 Great Nail Art Ideas- Teal

Hi there everyone!!!!Today's challenge was a little tricky. The theme was Teal and my prompt was camouflage.
I was not 100% sure what to do as I did not have 4 Teals that I could do this challenge with.
Lucky tho I just figured I would mix a couple of the polishes together to make the colours I wanted. I used Essence Lets get lost, Color Club age of Aquarius, Zoya cynthia and Face of Australia Mystique. Each colour was hand painted on to create the camo look.

Make sure you check out everyone elses manis for this week as everyone gets a different prompt to go with the colour for the week.

Until next time......

Pretty Serious Cosmetics Pet Names Collection Swatches

*Press Sample

Hi there everyone! today I have the latest creme or "undie"collection from Pretty Serious Cosmetics .
Over the past year Pretty Serious Cosmetics has released a bunch of cremes that are made to e used as a base for other polishes or just a beautiful creme polish by itself. This collection is an addition to the "undies"collection and is called The Pet Names Collection.
It consists of 6 highly opaque and pigmented cremes. All of the cremes were just 2 thin coats in my swatches, tho I could have got away with one thick coat in some cases. but I like to do thin coats. Id like to add that all my swatches in this collection had no base or top coat used. THese were purely by them selves. I love that even with the polish by itself they colours were super shiny and dried really quickly. The only time I used PSC crystal top coat was when I did the nail art on a few of the swatches.

Ok so lets check them out!!!!

From Left to right- Stud Muffin, Sugar Cakes, Honey Puff, Pookie, Cuddle Bunny and Snuglebutt.
