Minion Nails!!!

Hi there everyone!
Today I have some nail art. My girls love minions. they really do! well who would not love them?? they are so cute!! Anyways I was sent some neon polishes for testing by an indie brand and I thought I would use them to do minions. Now to be fair im actually gutted this indie brand is not releasing them. Apparently there were a few issues with the pigment but OMG these polishes were opaque in 2 coats and there was no need for a white base either!!!

OK Anyway's...... check out the mani. I used the neons and some acrylic paints.

I also did a water marble on one nail too which turned out ok.

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Red Carpet Edition Swatches

*Press Sample

Hi there everyone!
Today I have the New Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Red Carpet Edition polishes to share with you.
These I had seen in the shops for a week or two before I received the samples. and honestly. this collection is the best that Sally Hansen has brought out here in Oz for a long time. Don't get me wrong I love all Sally Hansen products. The formula is 99% of the time perfect and I love the colours, but lately I have been seeing what USA Sally Hansen customers have been getting......YES.....I'M TALKING THE FOIL COLLECTION ......* Stares at Sally Hansen Australia.....*  and yup it has been disappointing that we have not been getting the same stuff. The last time I checked we were in the 21st century so I don't understand why we cannot get the same stuff as USA. It makes me sad that I don't have all these polishes in my collection :(

Anyways lets get back to this amazing colour array I have today!!!!

So all of these colours have a fantastic formula. I used 2 coats with all of them apart from the silver which needed 3 coats for full opacity.
I used a Sally Hansen base coat and their big gloss coat for TC.

Let's check them out shall we????

Dance Legend Duochromes...Celia

Hi there everyone! Today I have a older but very pretty polish to share with you.
Dance Legend make the most amazing polishes. Really they do! and I cannot wait for them to start shipping to Australia again so I can purchase all their new ranges! its killing me that I see swatches and cannot get my hands on them :(

Today's Dance Legend is called Celia. It is from the monsters Inc themed collection and is an amazing shift of colours.

celia

Celia is a purple polish which shifts to blues and reds with even a goldy orange hue. The colour is quite amazing. Tho unlike all the others in the collection I don't think that this range of colours represents Celia as much as the others represented their counterparts. Saying that the colour is amazing and I only used 2 coats over black gel polish for this effect. You can wear it by itself in 4 coats but you do not get the full shifting effect.

Dance Legend can be purchased direct if you live in Russia Here. The rest of us have to find a reseller which you can find the list Here. Keep an eye out tho as hopefully soon their shipping will change and we can start buying all the pretties!!!!!

Until next time......

Beauty and the Beast Nail Art.

Hi there everyone!
Today I have a quick mani I did to share with you today.
Beauty and the Beast Nail art. I decided to create this using Glitter Gal cremes as a base then hand painted the different nails with acrylic paints. Lastly I used a Loki's Nail vinyl for the rose.
Lokis nail vinyls are my little brain child. They are quirky designs for affordable prices. I wanted to offer a smaller number of designs per sheet for a cheaper price rather than buying 60-100 of one design, you can purchase 25 or so of one design for only $1.50 and a flat rate for postage too.

I loved how these nails turned out.

Until next time.......

Born Pretty Store 3D gold stickers review.

*Press Sample.

Hi there everyone! Today I have to share with you some "3D"stickers from Born Pretty Store.

I was asked by Born Pretty Store If I would like to review and try some of their new products they currently have in their store. Over the next week I will be sharing some of the products they sent me.
Today I have the 3D gold stickers from their store.

The pack consisted of a large sheet (bigger than an A4 sheet) with 12 different designs on it. I was very impressed that you got so much for your money. The stickers are described as 3D, but I would not describe them as this. they are slightly raised but when you put a top coat on they are not raised at all.
They are very easy to remove from the backing sheet and the parts that are not gold have a clear backing. I think that some of these designs would be good for stain glass effect with thinner polishes like the OPI sheer tints or even the new OPI that are getting released.

I decided to try them over the new Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Spice age. The gold looked great with the colour. The stick well and did not peel off or shrink when I placed a top coat over them.

They gave a quick and easy mani for the price.
You can purchase them from Born Pretty Store for $4.34 and free world wide shipping.
Postage with Born Pretty Store can be a little hit and miss as I have had parcels come with in a week and others take up to 4 weeks. but shipping is free so I cant really complain!!!

Don't forget that if you are making an order to use the below code to get 10% off your order!!!

Until next time.......

Sally Hansen New Miracle Gel Swatches

*Press Sample.

Hi there everyone!
Today I have 3 new Sally Hansen Miracle Gels to share with you.
Sally Hansen released last year Miracle gel polish. It is a 2 step process where you use a coloured  miracle gel polish and a second specialised top coat which is similar to gel polish except you do not need a lamp to cure it, the regular sun will do this for you. I liked the idea of this concept but there are not a lot of colours released here in Australia. Sally Hansen did release 5 new colours last month. I have Spice Age, Game of Chromes and Hunger Flames.

All of these colours I only needed 2 coats with the specialised top coat.
The other amazing thing with this range is the brush. The polish has a super wide brush and it makes coverage a dream! I only needed one stroke with the brush to cover my pinkie it was so wide!!!
I did a wear test with spice age and managed 7 days total before having to remove it due to chipping. The packet does say up to 14 days, but I have 2 kids and a bunch of housework to do. Even regular gel polish does not last 14 days on my nails!!!

So lets check them out.......

OPI Whats With The Cattitude Swatch

*UPDATED*

Hi there everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts lately. It is school holidays here in Australia and trying to keep 2 special needs kids occupied during the break leaves little time for swatching or even posting anything.
I do however have a quicky for you that I wore the other day.

I have been trying to complete my OPI shrek collection for some time now. Recently I managed to get several from the Ozsale website. One of these included What's With The Cattitude. It is a bright blue creme that only needed 2 coats for full opacity.
I now have all of the Shrek collection apart from the green shrek colour. and im hoping to get that from a friend in america soon.

How awesome is this colour??!!!!

I hope to get some more swatches up soon. Plus I will be hopefully having a full month of comparison posts in May

*UPDATE*- So after have a chat with a bunch of people who are all OPI lovers we have come to the conclusion that this pretty is not Whats with the Cattitude. what it is exactly I am not sure. The label cleary says whats with the Cattitude but this polish is closer to Ogre the top blue as whats with the cattitude is a lot paler. I should have picked up on the fact this polish was a lot brighter, but with kids and school holidays my brain is totally burnt out!!!!!

Until next time.......

How to use Liquid Latex and Soy Polish Remover from Celestial Cosmetics.

*Press Sample.

Hi there everyone!!!
Today I have 2 products to share with you.
First is Celestial cosmetics Camo Coat which is a liquid latex type product which you use around your cuticle area to make nail art clean up easy!

This is a simple product that will make your nail art and nail stamping a million times easier when cleaning up.

Basically you paint the product around your finger near the cuticle, let dry, stamp or do nail art, then peel off.

Too easy!!!!

A word of advice tho......If you are allergic to Latex...DO NOT use this product. Even if you are not sure, I recommend to test the product first on a small patch of skin. A latex allergy can be a very bad thing to the point some people are even anaphylactic to latex.

If you are allergic to latex, fear not!!! there is an alternative. Loki's Nail Aprons*patent pending are an non latex alternative.

You can purchase them via Celestial Cosmetics or via Loki's nail Vinyls direct. They do a similar thing but with out the latex.

Next up is the No Sweat Soy Remover. I was a little wary with this product, as I have recently had a bad experience with a soy base remover for gel polish. But I gave the the new soy remover a go anyway.

The process is quite simple. You simply paint the soy remover onto the nail/polish. Wait a few mins (approx 2min) and then wipe off with a lint free wipe. If you do not get all the polish first go, repeat the process. I found that the process was very easy, I had no reactions and that the soy remover took off all 4 different types of polish I tried.
I tried a opi creme, a glitter bomb, a micro glitter and a holographic polish. I had a base coat on, 2 coats of polish and a top coat of seche vite. I let dry overnight before I removed the next day. you can find the video Here.

I also have a video below explaining how both products work.

The Camo coat and not Sweat Remover are both available from Celestial Cosmetics. The Camo coat is 8 ml for $5.50 and the No sweat remover is $4.50 for 12 ml. You can also buy the Loki's Nail aprons in packs of 2 on the site from 90cents for 2. (these are reusable up to 10 times each)

I am super impressed with both products. I am keen to purchase more of the Camo coat for its sheer simplicity of use.

Until next time...........
