Dead Set Babes Cult Cliques Collection.

Hi there everyone!!! Today I have to share the new collection from Dead Set Babes. Cult Cliques Collection is based on 3 movies which have a huge cult following. Heathers, Jawbreaker and Mean Girls. All 3 of these movies have been watched over and over again in my household. I love all 3!

So lets get started. All of the swatches today were swatched over Essie base coat and I used Dead set Babes super glossy top coat.

First up is Heathers. A 80's flick that starred Winona Ryder and Christian Slater. If you have not watched it you need too!!!!

Corn Nuts- Is a bright yellow holographic polish. A stunner as I don't have many yellow holographic polishes. I used 3 coats for this colour.

Lick it up baby, Lick it up- is a pretty orange/copper toned holographic polish. I was surprised with this one. I did not think I would like it on the nails but when I popped it on I was really happy with the colour and the flame that the polish shows!!! I used 3 coats for this but could have gotten away with 2.

Liquid Draino- Is a pale blue/aqua holographic coloured polish. It is a really pretty colour and I do not have anything like it in my collection. I thought it was similar to a colour club I one but it was a lot brighter that the colour club. I used 2 coats for this swatch.

The next movie that is in the Cult Cliques collection is Jaw breaker. All about popular kids and others getting killed !! got to love the 90's!!!

I killed the teen dream- Is a bright red holographic polish. The flame with this red is not as good as some of the other colours Dead Set Babes are releasing but I have found that most true red holographics do not have a very big flame. Saying that the holo effect on this polish is really noticeable and even more so IRL than the pics. I used 2 coats for this baby.

My Vylette- is a fuchsia holographic polish which has a slight lilac hue to it in some lights. I really loved this colour. It is super pretty and the holographic flame is awesome. you can see in one of the pics that the polish even looks pink. I love this. hoe is changes in different lights. I used 2 coats for this polish.

Learn it, Live it, Love it-  is a pale mint green holographic polish. This is again a very pretty polish. tho is the most sheer from the collection so I did need 3 coats but I still have a slight VNL. That said, I was happy with the coverage as the lighter holographic's do tend to be a little sheer no matter what brand you purchase. When I wear it again I will pop on some undies :) The thing I loved about this pretty polish was that it was UV reactive. I have not seen any UV reactive polishes that are holographic before so this was a awesome surprise.

The Cats Meow- is a coppery pink holographic polish. It is a hard colour to explain as I have never seen a colour quite like it, and I own over 200 holographic polishes. The flame is quite strong and I loved it on the nail. I used 2 coats for this polish.

The final movie is Mean Girls. this is clique flick of the 2000's. and maybe my favourite of the 3 movies.

So Fetch- is a bright blue holographic polish. I have a few blues like this in my collection but when I popped them together I could see that this blue was lighter than all my other bright blues, so I am super happy that it is different. The formula was great and the flame was very strong. I only needed 2 coats for this swatch.

Burn Book- is a bright pink with a slight purple hue to it. If your a fan of barbie pink well...you will love this polish. Its bright, pink and UV reactive! I was again so excited about another UV reactive holo, and I can't wait to do some glowy nail art with it! I used 2 caots but I could have used 3 as I can still see a VNL.

On Wednesdays we wear pink- Is another bright pink holo. This one is slightly more pink and neon than Burn Book. But they are quite similar. But if you are a fan of the movie you NEED both!!!! I used 2 coats for this polish and again the polish is UV reactive.

You can't sit with us- is a bright green holographic polish. When I saw this pretty I was super happy. I needed a good green holo and this did not disappoint at all! I used only 2 coats and there was a really good flame.

I really loved all of these holographic polishes. They all had a great formula and most were opaque in 2 coats. The flame in 99% of them were very strong too which I loved and none of the colours looked "greyed out"from the holographic pigment. Overall they are one of the best holographic polishes out there on the indie market.
You can purchase all of these pretties from Dead Set Babes prices for the holographic polishes are $11.95 each and Dead Set Babes also do top and base coats and now they sell Dead Set Decals Nail Vinyl's as well.

Now for the awesome new for everyone!!!!! Dead Set Babes are offering for a limited time $5.00 shipping worldwide on all orders over $30.00. Orly Baked Collection swatches and review.

Hello There Everyone!!! Today I have to share with you 3 of the Orly Baked Collection. When this collection caught my attention I was super stoked that we were going to get them here in Australia. So when I had the opportunity to share 3 of the amazing colours with you today I totally jumped at the chance!!!!
The Baked collection consists of 6 polishes which are all bright and neon. As a collection I think it is one of the best neon collections out there ATM. All the colours look amazing.
I have Saturated, Tropical Pop and Neon Heat to share today.

Saturated- Is a bright Indigo/Purple neon creme. This polish was a real hard polish to photograph and honestly unless your PC/tablet/Iphone screen is calibrated the colour may not look to you in these swatches as it does in real life. It was one of those colour that is just impossible to photograph. On my camera screen the polish looked totally different to the actual polish but on my PC screen it looked ok.
Ok so on to the polish. This is an amazing colour. I cannot tell you all enough that EVERYONE NEEDS THIS IN THEIR COLLECTION!!!!!!!!!! the formula was to die for, and in 2 coats it was opaque, plus on top of the amazingness of the colour it is UV reactive so under black light, which you will see in some nail art i'll add at the end of the post. Then to top it all off you DON'T need a white base as so many neons require! I just cannot rave about it enough!

sun

shade

Neon Heat- Is a super bright Pink polish. This is again an amazing polish. The formula was fantastic and again a white base coat was not needed. I just used 2 coats by itself. I could have even got away with one coat the pigment is so dense in the polish. You will see how opaque they are when you see the nail art as I only used one coat when creating and layering the colours.

sun

shade

Tropical Pop- Is a neon orange creme. Once again the formula was just amazing! and only 2 coats for opacity with no white base coat either! I am just well....speechless that I can use these neons and not have to use a white base! I wish all neons were this awesome! Also like the other 2 polishes Tropical Pop is UV reactive. So black lights make it glow soooo very much!!!!!!

After swatching these colours the post came and I received some Dead Set Decals. So I HAD to give them a go with these amazing colours! then pop them under a black light!!!!!

saturated, tropical pop and neon heat under black light using large chevrons.

saturated and small zigzags.

saturated and neon heat with lighting bolts.

As you can see these cremes are great for nail art and stand out in both normal light as well as black light.

you can purchase The Backed Collection by Orly HERE or at your local salon. they retail for $18.95 a bottle and are worth every penny!!!!!Make sure you check out Orly's Facebook Page as well for what collection will be out next.

The Dead Set Decals came from Dead Set Babes and retail from $1.95 to $4.95 depending on what you are after. they have limited editions every month so make sure you keep an eye out for those too.

Until next time..........

OPI Muppets Most Wanted collection swatches

Hi there everyone!
Today I have 3 of the OP Muppets Most Wanted Collection for you to check out.
This collection was released a fair while ago in america but was released April here in Australia. We do seem to get the collection a little slower than overseas. I wish we got them the same time, but this seems to be the case with most polish brands who release over here in Australia. Saying that I am glad we do get the ones we do cause shipping from overseas is just so much hassle sometimes.
When the collection was released I was not 100% sold on the colours. The Muppets reminds me of bright fun colours and the collection seemed to be all pastels apart from a pretty awesome looking blue. I was pleasantly surprised when I got the 3 i'm going to share with you today. The formula on all the polishes were great and the colours really complemented each other.

So lets take a look!

I Love Applause- Is a baby pink creme. I quite liked this colour. I am not a pastel person but the formula was quite nice and I only needed 3 coats for opacity. It does remind me of Miss Piggy but I would have maybe liked it a little darker?! saying that it is a pretty colour,so I will be using it again.

Intl Crime Caper- Is a very sheer pearl pink polish with a very tiny iridescent blue micro glitter through out. It is almost impossible to see the micro glitter in the polish until you layer it over a black base.then it is easier to see. I used 3 coats for these top 2 swatches, then 2 coats over the black base for the other swatches.

Muppets World Tour- Is a glitter mix with silver pale pink and blue glitters. it sounds an odd combo but when you put it with the Intl crime caper  the combo is great. Coverage was good and I only used one coat for these pictures. I think if you did 3-4 coats it would be able to be worn by itself as a super shiny polish!

Lastly I did a cheeky mani using all of the 3 polishes above. I have a base of I love Applause, then on my pinkie I layered Intl Crime Caper, the middle finger has Muppets Most Wanted and I created a couple of Water Decals of Miss Piggy and Kermit to pop on the other 2 pinkies.
