Celestial Cosmetics- Sons of Anarchy Swatches and review.

Hello there everyone,
Today i have some super pretty polishes to share with you! its funny cause super pretty and this collection really should not go hand in hand but it does!!!!
Celestial cosmetics have just released a collection based on the hit TV series Sons of Anarchy

The collection comprises of a total of 10 polishes and i have 5 to share with you. I have never watched SoA so i will be referring to the lovely write up i was given when these polishes were provided to me for review.

First up is Reaper Crew
This is a Black holographic polish. Here is the description of the thought process behind this polish.

"Sons of Anarchy MC is also known as Reaper Crew, as shown by the Grim Reaper on their patch. The most prominent colour worn by club members is black, so I decided a black holographic would represent them best."

This polish was a pleasure to work with! I only needed 2 coats over my base coat and it was opaque. i then used seche vite as my top coat. The holographic pay off with this polish was amazing. i will be using this polish many times again i think!

Next in the collection is Nomads. Here is what Celestial cosmetics had to say about this polish.

"Nomads are club members who does not belong to any specific charter, yet have privileges in all charters. As the name implies, the Nomads will go anywhere to take care of business and are known to be very dangerous.
Thinking of the danger side of this group, I have created a red jelly with cherry hex and dots and burgundy micro glitter."

Nomads was the least favourite of the 5 polishes i was given for review. Dont get me wrong, the colour was amazing but i just find that red tends to wash out my colour as you can see from the photos.
Nomads needed undies so i used Zoya Elissa, I then used 2 coats of Nomads on top of the red base coat and a single coat of Seche vite. The jelly went on great. i loved the micro glitter and the hexes, but with all polish that has dots in it i found it hard to get the big 3mm dots out. i stood the polish on its head and ended up pouring a small amount out on some plastic so i could fish out the dots to place on my nails.
Personally i have exactly the same problem when i myself make polish with dots. they just like to sit on the side of the bottle and sink. Due to the weight of the dots and the suspension base we have here in australia dots don't seem to like us. But even if you cannot manage to get a single dot out (and dont forget im using a 8ml bottle which is more awkward) this polish is really pretty and sparkly. I so wish red did not wash the colour out of me so much as i'd wear this many times.

The next polish is Charming. This is again a favourite polish of mine in the collection. Im a sucker for green so it was inevitable i'd love it! Here is what Celestial Cosmetics had to say about the polish.

"Charming is represented by a bright green jelly packed full of different glitters. There is Turquoise hex, blue and caymen blue squares with melon green dots."

The combo of these colours are so pretty. I'm not sure how this represents the show as i do not watch it but i dont care!!!!! i was suckered in the min i saw the polish in the bottle!
I used a base coat and as this polish was a little sheer and a jelly i layered 2 coats over Ulta3 Frog prince, and my seche vite top coat.
I love the shimmer in the polish. i find it quite unique, and would love to see this kind of shimmer in other polishes :) *hint hint Celestial cosmetics*  I Will wear this again no doubt and i think i will try it over a darker green to see the shimmer more.

The second last polish i was asked to review is called Chapel This is a greyish blue holographic polish.

"Chapel is the meeting room of the club with the beautiful carved table in the centre. I did not go the brown route for this polish, I decided a steel blue holographic polish would represent the caliber of men that sit in 'chapel'."

This is another great addition to this collection. The steel blue holographic polish is to die for! there is a clear linear holo in the sun (tho hard to photograph) and i wore this with 2 coats over Zoya Evvie, tho you could wear this by itself with 3 coats.

The last polish i have to share is Jax. I would describe Jax as a blue shimmer polish. it is seriously pretty too, tho blues are my weakness as well.....

"Nothing i love more than a man on a motorbike, except when it's Jax. He has gorgeous blue eyes, that's why i chose a blue shimmery base with electric blue micro flakies and white micro glitter"

Jax is really pretty IRL. i first swatched it by itself but felt it needed some undies so i used Zoya Natty as my base, then 2 coats of jax.  The blue steel colour really showed when i layered it over a base coat of Natty, and of course a top coat of seche vite.

I hope you have enjoyed all the swatches of this great collection. favourite ones?? for sure Reaper Crew and Charming!!!

You can purchase these polishes from Celestial cosmetics. The holographic polishes are AUD $10.95 and the others are AUD$9.95. Celestial cosmetics only ship withing australia.  If you are overseas head on over to Color 4 nails or Mei Mei Signatures to grab a few. Prices do vary from reseller to reseller.
