AN Mondays- Logie inspired manicure.

Hi there everyone!

As the logies were the other week this week with Aussie nails we have a
Logie inspired manicure theme. So I had a good look though all the fashion pics etc to see what caught my eye and I came up with Shelly Craft's outfit to inspire me.

I love the combo of creme and navy lace.

And what better way to complete a manicure than with a feature nail complete with a gold logie.

Here is the manicure I ended up with. I used Glitter Gal Nuddy Nude fro mtheir newly released collection, then stamped with China Glaze little drummer boy. I used Emily de molly stamping plate EDM01. Then for the gold logie used a gold decal which was the shape of the logie award.

All toped with Seche Vite.

Celestial Cosmetics holographic swatches part 2

Hi there everyone! Today I have part 2 of my 3 days of Celestial Cosmetics. Again these posts are picture heavy cause the polish is so super pretty!!!!!!

All swatches used Blue Moon Base coat and Solar Ray Top Coat both available at Celestial cosmetics also.

Callisto- Formally known as Blitzens Bugie Smuggler Is a deep purple burgundy holographic polish. Now first up....why has the name changed?? well Callisto use to be one of the holos in Celestial Cosmetics Christmas collection. And due to popular demand Celestial Cosmetics decided to keep some of the collection from xmas 2013 in her core range but needed to change the name accordingly. So BBS became Callisto. 

The Burgundy polish is absolutely stunning on. Why on earth I had not tried it before...well I need to slap myself! I am seriously considering getting a second back up bottle for this beauty. I would hate for it to get zipped. My one has the xmas label on it too as I brought it at christmas along with a couple of others from the christmas collection. So it only seems fitting that I have the Callisto labeled bottle too......well...ill keep telling my self that.........;) You can see in a few of my pics just how holographic this polish really is! I would like to add with all my pictures the only thing I adjust is the levels to remove shadowing, I watermark and crop. and I do occasionally adjust the colour cast on some of the shade shots as they tend to go a bit funny and not truly represent the polish. I say this now as the second pic here was questioned on how accurate it was the other day. and believe me! the polish is THAT HOLO!!!!!

 Another question that has been asked quite a bit is does Callisto look the same as Lilypad Lacquers True blood the original version.  Over the past 12 months Lilypad lacquer had brought out a polish called true blood. Everyone went mad over it, then it was deleted I think for what ever reason.When it was re released it was not the same, since then I think 3 other versions have been released. I actually have the original version of True blood and decided to to a swatch comparison. This version of True Blood can sell in blog sales for up to $50 easy so its great to check out if something is similar and can satisfy your need for this vampy colour! 

As you can see in the swatches, true blood is a darker colour burgundy and not as holographic as Callisto. I used 3 coats for all swatches with this, and I chose not to put on any top coat. They are quite different in my opinion but if you are after something similar to Lilypads True Blood I reckon you have found a winner. Plus is is a lot cheaper than forking out up to $50 on a blog sale.

Celestial Sphere- Is a purple polish full of purple glitters in a purple jelly base There are many sizes of purple glitters and different shades of purple too. I love how with 3 coats I had opacity with this polish. You can really see the sparkle in the shade shots and the complexity of the glitter combo.

Nebula- Is a pinky purple holographic polish. In the shade the polish really takes on a purple hue but in the sun Nebula can almost look completely magenta. Even in the bottle shot it looks really purple. It was a nice surprise. Again the flame with this holographic polish is amazing. in full sun it just shines so bright!!! I used 3 coats for this polish.

Celestial Cosmetics holographic swatches part 1

Hi there everyone! Today I would like to share with you 3 polishes from Celestial Cosmetics. I have 11 in total to show over the next few days but as the polishes are super pretty I ended up taking heaps of pictures so I end up splitting them up. All of these swatches have Celestial Cosmetics Blue Moon Base Coat and Solar Ray quick dry top coat.

Asteroid- Is a purpley blue holographic polish that in some lights looks even a little periwinkle blue. I used 3 coats but could have got away with 2 coats if I really needed too. I love how the flame of this holographic polish is so bright. sometimes the flame gets lost in lighter colours but not in this one.

Birth of a Star- So this polish is a very hard polish to describe. It is a brown/grey holographic polish which has a pinky/gold to blue shift. You can see the shift in the shade with this polish but not in the sun. on the other hand in the sun you can see the brown/grey colour. I love how it is different in the sun to shade. sometimes holo polishes are amazing in the sun but in the shade they can be a little....well......meh. But with Birth of a Star you get the beautiful holo and then in the shade a great shift. I used 3 coats for opacity.

Brown Dwarf - Brown Dwarf is a bottle full of brown glitters which become opaque in 3 coats. no undies needed. there is a mixture of brown glitter in several sizes and tones to make this polish a very pretty site on the nail. I did not think I would love this one but I did!!! It really sparkled in the sun but in the shade you could almost see every glitter on the nail. so pretty!!!! Id love to see this combo of glitters in many more colours and the mix was perfect!

Fuse Gelnamel swatches- E-motion,Lighting Jolt and Na no way.

I have 3 more swatches of the new Fuse Gelnamel polish collection to share with you all.

We have from left to right- E-motion, Lighting jolt and Na no way. 

All swatches were using the Fuse Gelnamel kit as per instructions.

E-motion- Is a purple gel polish. It kind of sways more to the pink purples than the blue ones and it is a very pretty colour. The formula was great with it tho it was streaking with the first coat,but settled down on the second and third coat evened out the colour to what you see in the pics. The only other thing I did find with this colour was that the finished result was a more satin finish than some of the other colours. but I was quite happy with that .

Lighting Jolt- So this polish was not what I expected for several reasons. Firstly the polish itself looks nothing like the bottle. I was expecting a purple polish with glitter through it. but I got a pleasant surprise. It was a awesome glitter bomb! All pink and blue/purple glitters in a bottle with a bit of a silvery shimmer. Very pretty. now the only thing that I did not like was for me,and this is my personal experience, when I was curing this particular gel my nails heated up. They got quite hot and it hurt a bit. Now it did not happen to every nail and I know it was not the lamp as I tried it with a different lamp and I felt the same heat, but I feel I should mention this. None of the cremes did this it was only this and one other glitter colour. My nails are also quite thin so this could be part of the issue. Saying this I was happy to put up with a little discomfort to get a pretty glitter gel. Since this happening I have layered this gel over different colours and it has not felt hot, so maybe it was the way I did it or my week nails, who knows, but I do like to be truthful and honest when letting you guys know about a product. 

But lets look at the polish. This was 3 coats by itself. I think another coat would have made it opaque. Very sparkly!!!!!

 Na-No Way- This is a classic bright pink in your face gel polish! love the colour! It took 3 coats and the colour is super bright. I have used this now in several manis and I will return to this colour many more times!

well worth the investment if you like pink!!!
